The Evolution of ACMA

The Path That Shaped Who We Are

At the American College of Martial Arts (ACMA), we believe true martial arts go far beyond the movements you see on the mat. It’s not just about kicks, punches, or belts — it’s about growth, respect, and the confidence to face life’s challenges with strength and focus.

For d, ACMA has been a cornerstone of West Palm Beach, helping students of all ages discover their true capabilities. Under the guidance of Master Chip Lutz, a 6th-degree black belt, our programs combine traditional martial arts values with modern self-defense techniques that are effective in real-world applications.

Every class at ACMA is more than a workout — it’s a lesson in discipline, character, and perseverance. Students learn how to stay calm under pressure, how to lead with respect, and how to build confidence that carries far beyond the dojo.

Because here, we don’t just teach martial arts — we build better people.

The History of ACMA

Our Journey Through The Years

A legacy of discipline, confidence, and growth, built step by step

1998
The Beginning

ACMA was founded by Master Chip Lutz, a passionate martial artist determined to teach real-world self-defense with discipline and respect at its core. What began as a small group of students quickly became a dedicated community.

2003
Growing Strong

Word spread across West Palm Beach as more families joined. ACMA became known for its family-friendly environment where kids, teens, and adults trained side by side with encouragement and structure.

2008
Building a Family

By this time, ACMA had trained hundreds of students. Many early members earned their black belts and stayed on as assistant instructors — turning the school into a true second home.

2014
Modern Training

Master Lutz began integrating modern self-defense techniques into traditional Taekwondo practice. This balance of old and new sets ACMA apart as a school that evolves while staying rooted in respect and discipline.

2019
A Community Legacy

ACMA expanded its programs — adding Women’s Self-Defense, Private Training, and more structured classes for kids and teens. Families now trained together, building confidence both in and outside the dojo.

2025
Continuing the Mission

Today, ACMA stands as one of West Palm Beach’s most trusted martial arts schools — built on decades of passion, integrity, and results. Thousands of students have trained here, each carrying ACMA’s core values of discipline, confidence, and respect into their everyday lives.

The Journey Continues

Every new student adds a new chapter to our story. At ACMA, history isn’t behind us — it’s being written every day on the mat.
